Lebanon, VA — On October 27, 2016, the Russell County Victim/Witness Assistance Program sponsored a Candlelight Vigil in honor of victims and survivors of domestic violence. October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Several victims and survivors attended the vigil and spoke about how domestic violence had affected them or their family members.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Brian Patton stated “we always need to remember these important victims and the family members of those affected by domestic violence. Russell County is lucky to have a lot of resources and services to provide in cases of domestic violence and I hope our citizens needing theses services can utilize them.”
